2024 Ford F-150 Lineup Ditched Three Colors

Buyers of the 2024 Ford F-150 can choose from 11 unique exterior colors to customize their full-size pickup, including two brand new colors: Shelter Green and Darkened Bronze Metallic. However, the 2024 F-150 did strike three colors from its lineup for the 2024 model year, and below, Ford Authority details the hues that were left behind.

Specifically, Race Red, Stone Gray Metallic and Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat are no longer offered on the F-150 as of the 2024 model year. Race Red (paint code PQ) was a staple of the F-150 lineup for quite a few model years, and was offered on XL, XLT and Lariat trims for the 2023 model year. Stone Gray Metallic (paint code D1) has also been a part of the lineup for a while. For 2023, it was available on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Limited trims, and was offered as part of the two-tone paint option for King Ranch models.

Finally, Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (paint code G4) was a short-lived choice for the F-150. It was first introduced for the 2023 model year as a $795 option for Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor and Raptor models, but is not able to be added to any 2024 Ford F-150 trim.

Aside from the updated exterior color lineup, the 2024 Ford F-150 represents a midcycle refresh, debuting in September with a revised front end featuring LED headlights across the board. Every trim from Lariat on up features daytime running light (DRL) “C-clamp” signature lighting, along with new wheel options, an updated grille, and blacked-out trim for Platinum models. Meanwhile, the range-topping Raptor and Raptor R trims get new features like a new modular front bumper and optional lightbar, standard forged tow hooks, along with a wide blackout grille and new headlamps, just to name a few.

It’s worth noting that thousands of 2024 Ford F-150 pickups were awaiting quality checks and sitting on storage lots in Michigan, but earlier this month, shipments commenced, putting the refreshed F-150 one step closer to the hands of its buyers.

No Race Red is a big mistake. Great color and it always made an F150 look great.

COME ON FORD, SCRAPPING RACE RED, A LEGENDARY COLOUR FOR A PICK UP, IS ANOTHER STUPID THING YOU HAVE DONE, ALONG WITH HOPPING ON THE BIDEN (WEF) ELITIST PSYCHOPATH EV TRAIN AND WASTING MILLIONS ON SOMETHING THE PUBLIC DOESN’T WANT AND FEEL IT IS BEING SHOVED DOWN THEIR THROATS, WHICH IT IS!!! YOU DEFINITELY ARE TRYING TO PUT YOURSELVES OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

Wow. Scrap a Color, call it a day, you can still get Race on the Bronco, Mustang and Superduty, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat on your Lighting. There is always aftermarket. But I’m pretty sure Biden had very little to do with the decision, Robert, he is more of a Chevy guy (Corvette StingRay, Chevy Suburban, and Cadillac Escalade) unless you count his excellent choice of the best Electric Truck on the market to tool around in, the Ford F150 Lightning. I’m not sure, but I’ll bet it is painted Antimatter Blue Metallic.
