2024 Ford Maverick Recalled Over Incorrect Tire Information

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024 Ford Maverick models over an issue with incorrect tire and loading information.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the tire and loading information label may state the incorrect vehicle capacity, tire pressure, and spare tire size. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”

The hazards: incorrect tire and capacity information may result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2024 Ford Maverick models produced at the Hermosillo Assembly Plant between January 15th, 2024, and January 22nd, 2024.

Number of vehicles affected: 9

The fix: dealers will mail new labels to affected customers, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on April 29th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24C08.
