Following the launch of the all-new Ford Ranger in several international markets, the redesigned pickup debuted for North America back in May 2023. At that time, The Blue Oval stated that the 2024 Ford Ranger was scheduled to launch in the U.S. last summer – at least models equipped with the 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost, with variants packing the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost expected to follow suit in the fall. However, even as a number of 2024 Ford Ranger pickups were being built at the Michigan Assembly plant over the course of several months, deliveries still hadn’t begun, at least until just a few weeks ago. Now, however, it seems as if 2024 Ford Ranger pickups are finally reaching dealerships, according to the automaker’s Q1 2024 sales report.
According to this report, there were around 6,600 2024 Ford Ranger pickups either in transit or at dealerships as of the conclusion of March, and a quick internet search reveals that there are roughly 3,350 pickups listed in dealer inventory at the moment. As Ford Authority reported earlier this month, 2024 Ford Ranger production at MAP ramped up significantly last month as well, from 2,871 units in February to 6,707 in March – an increase of 3,836 units or 134 percent.
The 2024 Ford Ranger features a number of notable changes – including perhaps the biggest in the debut of the high-performance Ranger Raptor powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost, which will be sold in the U.S. for the very first time.
In addition to new styling inside and out, coupled with a handful of other major changes, the 2024 Ford Ranger nearly matches the EPA fuel economy ratings of its predecessor, as Ford Authority recently reported. However, all of these updates come at a cost, as the new Ranger is more expensive across the board – though in some cases, that increase can be attributed to the presence of more standard equipment.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford Ranger soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Ranger news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

They lost me with the “no King Cab” option!
I’ll be on board for a Ramger Lariat PHEV when they start to hit the order banks, hopefully this fall.
I am going to order a Ranger Lariet with a 2.7 , should I wait until the 2025 come out?
You may have no choice. As much as they say stock is coming in, they have yet to reach dealers in appreciable quantities. Also, where the heck is the sunroof???
