The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales in March slid once again, deepening the decline of the brand in the South American country, where FoMoCo, like the rest of the automakers, faces severe difficulties in manufacturing and marketing its vehicles. Last month’s contraction represents Ford’s third consecutive monthly decline in the Argentine market.

As in previous months, most of the models that Ford sells in Argentina suffered severe declines during March – including the Ford Ranger. The midsize pickup lost a notable 657 units in the month and once again positioned itself as the second best-selling truck in the country, after having momentarily surpassed the Toyota Hilux in February.

In contrast, the Ford Kuga and the all-new Ford Territory were the only models that managed to increase their sales in the month. The Territory continues to solidly perform in the Argentine market and cements itself as Ford’s second best-selling vehicle in the country.
