After the beloved SUV made its return for the 2021 model year, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco was met with tremendous demand, which far outweighed supply for a long time. Thanks to this and numerous supply chain issues, it has taken some time for Ford to build enough Broncos to satisfy that demand, though as of late, things appear to be evening out as prices fall and inventory grows. This may not be the case everywhere, as certain areas are still seeing new and used Broncos sell at a premium. However, in other parts of the U.S., used Ford Bronco models are actually going for quite a bit less than new ones – a list that includes the cities of Albuquerque-Santa Fe, New Mexico and Louisville, Kentucky, according to data from iSeeCars.
As Ford Authority previously reported, used Ford Bronco models are selling for $68,934 on average in New Mexico – which is $13,391 or 19.4 percent lower than the average new Bronco in that same market. This is notable because according to iSeeCars, the average lightly used vehicle costs $5,778 – or 12.8 percent – less than its new-car equivalent, making the Ford Bronco an attractive target in that regard. That’s also true of Louisville, where used Bronco SUVs are selling for $11,843 or 18.7 percent less than the average new listing at $63,295, too.
To come up with this data, iSeeCars looked at 1.6 million new and used vehicle listings between January and March 2024, with its definition of “lightly used” referring to 2022-2023 model year vehicles with odometer readings within 20 percent of 13,476 miles – the average number U.S. drivers cover in a year.
This certainly isn’t the case across the entire U.S., however. As Ford Authority previously reported, the Ford Bronco continues to sell for more than MSRP on the new vehicle market, on average, and used prices have long been trending higher than new ones. Regardless, now seems like a great time to pick up a used Bronco – at least in certain parts of the U.S. – and those that do are even eligible to attend the Bronco Off-Roadeo in some cases.
We’ll have more on the Ford Bronco soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
