Ford Bronco Family Gets Special Discount For Subaru Owners

The concept of automakers offering special incentives aimed specifically at owners of vehicles made by other brands is certainly nothing new, particularly within the world of The Blue Oval. In fact, in recent months, the automaker has launched those types of incentives that aim to get Dodge Challenger/Charger and Chevy Camaro owners to purchase a new Ford Mustang, as well as another that gives existing Jeep owners a discount on a new Ford Bronco. Now, interestingly, FoMoCo has launched a new discount specifically targeting Subaru owners in the Seattle, Washington area, according to a dealer bulletin seen by CarsDirect.

Officially known as the Subaru Competitive Bonus Cash offer, this new incentive gives existing owners and lessees of models from that brand $1,000 off the purchase price of a 2023 or 2024 Ford Bronco or Ford Bronco Sport at Seattle-area dealerships. This deal is reportedly good on every trim level of those models, save for the Bronco Raptor.

To qualify for this deal, one must own a Subaru-branded vehicle from the 1995 model year or newer, though they don’t have to sell that model, trade it in, or terminate their lease to take advantage of it. In fact, owners and lessees can even transfer the offer to others in their household, which is interesting – coupled with the fact that this is the first time that Ford has targeted Subaru owners with any sort of conquest incentive for the Bronco family.

Of course, there are some obvious reasons why this might be the case. Subaru models are wildly popular in the Pacific Northwest portion of the U.S., with Washington State ranking among the U.S. states with the highest ownership levels of that brand of vehicle. As such, it’s quite possible that Ford sees some opportunity there to steal away market share with its own off-road-capable SUVs.
