Ford F-150 Lightning Wins 2024 Best Fleet Value Award

One of the biggest advantages the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning offers customers over its ICE counterpart are vastly reduced operating costs, which is a nice benefit for retail consumers, but even more so for commercial fleet customers, who tend to rack up far more miles annually. As such, it wasn’t terribly surprising when the Ford F-150 Lightning received a 2023 Best Value in America Award from Vincentric, and now, it has repeated that feat by securing a 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Award from the same organization, too.

The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro, specifically, topped the full-size half-ton pickup segment in this year’s Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards for a handful of notable reasons – the biggest being the fact that it won 22 out of 28 lifestyle cost scenarios, outperforming 241 competitor trims in the process. The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro also joined the Ford Maverick XL, which won the same award after besting its competition in the small truck segment.

To determine the winners of the 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Awards, Vincentric performed a cost of ownership analysis measuring over 3,000 vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use. These results are based on eight cost factors – depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs – and each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington D.C. using 28 different lifecycle scenarios. The winners were identified by determining which had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios within its segment.

“For nearly twenty years, the Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards have been providing guidance to professionals across the fleet industry,” said David Wurster, Vincentric President. “Our awards are data-driven and are based on current market conditions to help OEMs, fleet management companies, and fleet operators make informed decisions and manage costs.”
