Ford Maverick XL Wins 2024 Best Fleet Value Award

The Ford Maverick launched with an ultra-low, sub-$20k starting price, making it instantly appealing to a large base of consumers for that fact alone. Even though the compact pickup has gotten more expensive since then, it still has tremendous value to offer not only retail customers, but also, those that operate commercial fleets. In fact, the Ford Maverick XL Hybrid won a Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Award in both 2022 and 2023 for that very reason, and now, the gas-powered Ford Maverick XL has extended that streak to three consecutive years.

This time around, Vincentric has awarded the Ford Maverick XL front-wheel drive, gas-powered pickup with top honors in the small truck category of the 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Awards. The compact pickup pulled off its third straight win in that category by winning 15 out of 28 lifecycle cost scenarios completed by the organization, while also offering the lowest fixed costs in its class, to boot. Even more impressively, Vincentric notes that the Ford Maverick beat out 56 competitor trims to claim this honor.

To determine the winners of the 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Awards, Vincentric performed a cost of ownership analysis measuring over 3,000 vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use. These results were based on eight cost factors – depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs – and each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington D.C. using 28 different lifecycle scenarios. The winners were identified by determining which had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios within its segment.

“For nearly twenty years, the Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards have been providing guidance to professionals across the fleet industry,” said David Wurster, Vincentric President. “Our awards are data-driven and are based on current market conditions to help OEMs, fleet management companies, and fleet operators make informed decisions and manage costs.”

An XL in red is what I’ve wanted for 3 years ! Farley/Ford give up your yearly salaries and stock options … turn that cash into retooling and opening one of the US plants and build MORE Mavericks. One other thing for XL owners out there, Amazon has a great set of stainless steel trim rings that look great on the Maverick XL !
