Over the past couple of years, The Blue Oval has remained laser focused on churning out what it calls EV demonstrators, which are essentially one-off all-electric vehicles designed to push the proverbial envelope in terms of what’s possible. The list of FoMoCo EV demonstrators continues to grow and includes machines like the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, the Ford Mustang Super Cobra Jet 1800, the Ford Supervan, and the Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear, to name just a few – with more on the way. The Ford Supervan, in particular, has been on a bit of a world tour as of late, and now, Ford Performance has revealed that it will be heading somewhere very interesting soon – Antarctica.
Antarctica here we come! 🏁❄️

Having already raced on a variety of surfaces, it seems as if the Ford Supervan is now set to take on the icy confines of Antarctica, which should prove rather interesting when it heads that way next year. Ford didn’t prove any additional details about this particular trip, but given what we’ve seen so far, it should be pretty fun to watch.
The Ford Supervan has already enjoyed tremendous success at places like Pike’s Peak, where it took home a win in the Open class last year and finished second overall, as well as the Thrifty Bathurst 500 race at Mount Panorama in Australia, where the EV van proceeded to set a trio of new lap records. Now, decked out in a new livery for the new year, the Supervan is once again setting its sights on some sort of historic journey – this time, in a much colder place. Of course, this could also be one big April Fool’s joke, but it would still be cool to see Ford put some rally tires on the Supervan and head onto the ice for some cool sideways action, regardless.
We’ll have more on the Ford Supervan soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Transit news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
