Ford Transit Lineup Wins 2024 Best Fleet Value In America

After taking home wins in multiple segments of the 2023 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards – including the Ford Transit securing the top spot in the full-size one-ton van, full-size half-ton cargo van, and full-size 3/4 ton cargo van segments – the automaker has also enjoyed tremendous success in the 2024 installment of the same awards, too. This year, the Ford Maverick XL topped the small pickup space, while the Ford F-150 Lightning Pro won the half-ton full-size pickup segment and the Ford Super Duty F-250 beat all of its competitors in the full-size 3/4 ton pickup space, too. In terms of vans, the Ford Transit joined those models by taking home a trio of awards, too.

In this year’s Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards, the Ford Transit T350 XLT Low Roof RWD 148 topped the full-size one-ton passenger van segment for the third time and second consecutive year, while the T150 Cargo Low Roof RWD 130 configuration won out in the full-size 1/2-ton cargo van segment for the fourth time and second consecutive year, followed by the T250 Cargo Low Roof RWD 130, which topped the full-size 3/4-ton cargo van segment for the fourth time and second consecutive year as well.

To determine the winners of the 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Awards, Vincentric performed a cost of ownership analysis measuring over 3,000 vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use. These results were based on eight cost factors – depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs – and each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington D.C. using 28 different lifecycle scenarios. The winners were identified by determining which had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios within its segment.

“Our customers depend on Ford commercial vehicles to get the job done while bringing added value to their fleet,” said Tim Baughman, general manager of Ford Pro North America. “This recognition by Vincentric underscores Ford’s commitment to building vehicles to do just that and demonstrates how going electric can be good for business and the planet.”
