The Ford Authority Take
Ford utility sales during Q4 2023 saw most of the unibody crossovers outpace the body-on-frame SUVs, with even the lone EV here accounting for a solid cut.
The full-size Explorer was the only crossover in the red this time around, but was still responsible for a quarter of all Ford utility deliveries.
Sales of the Edge in Q4 2023 posted the strongest gain, leaping 98 percent to 35,397 units.
Ironically, production of the Edge, is set to end in late April at the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada. However, as previously reported by Ford Authority, the Edge will likely be replaced with an EV in the future, although the timetable for such a change has not yet been revealed.
