The refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer finally broke cover in early February, bringing revised interior and exterior styling, along with myriad new features to make the crossover a high-tech force to be reckoned with. There are quite a few packages available for the 2025 Explorer, and below, Ford Authority details each one, laying out their content, pricing and availability.
All told, there are five packages for the 2025 Ford Explorer. These include the Active Comfort Package, ST-Line Street Pack, Premium Package, Lux Leather Package and Ultimate Package. The availability of each bundle depends on trim level. Speaking of which, as a reminder, the 2025 Explorer gets a revamped trim level lineup that now consists of the Active, Platinum, ST-Line and ST.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at what each package has to offer.
The Active Comfort Package is tagged with option code 68A, and is exclusively available on the base Explorer Active trim. This optional bundle costs $3,080, and includes the following equipment:
The 2025 Ford Explorer ST-Line gets the ST-Line Street Pack, which costs $995. There are different versions of this package, which is tagged with option code 68P, depending on whether the vehicle is outfitted with RWD or 4WD. Content is as follows:
ST-Line Street Pack (RWD Version)
ST-Line Street Pack (4WD Version)
Identifiable by order code 68L, the Premium Package is a $2,740 option on the Explorer ST-Line. Content of this package is as follows:
The 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum can be outfitted with the Lux Leather Package, adding $1,695 to the overall cost of the crossover. This package requires that the 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine and 4WD also be equipped, and is not available in conjunction with the Second Row Bench 35/30/35 seats. Content bundled in this package is as follows:
Tagged with option code 68U, the Ultimate Package is offered on the 2025 Explorer Platinum as a $4,616 option. This package bundles the aforementioned Lux Leather Package along with a set of 21-inch wheels. Content is as follows:
Under the hood, the forthcoming Explorer offers two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.3L I4 EcoBoost, which is standard in the Active, Platinum and ST-Line, while the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost is standard for the ST and optional in the Platinum. As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Explorer is ditching its factory-installed Illuminated Door Entry Keypad for a dealer-installed option, an extra-cost choice. Additionally, the refreshed Explorer gained one exterior color known as Vapor Blue Metallic, while dropping two others.
Production of the 2025 Explorer will continue at the Chicago Assembly plant, and will begin in May. Pricing starts at $38,670 for the new base Active trim, and it’s worth noting that certain trims are actually more affordable than the outgoing 2024 model year.

Is there a 2024 or 2025 King Ranch Explorer model available for purchase ?
Long time ford owner looking at a 2025 explorer. Not sure why the Ultimate Pkg is 3k more than the Lux Leather pkg when the difference is 21" wheels and tires.
If I'm not mistaken the Ultimate Package adds the 3 Liter 6 cyl engine the Platinum trim.
