Here’s Early Championship Betting Odds For NASCAR Ford Teams

The 2024 Cup Series campaign won’t wrap up until the teams visit Phoenix on November 10th, but it’s never too soon to start thinking about which driver is going to take it all. Recently, betting odds for this season’s championship were released on NASCAR.com, showing that some of the NASCAR Ford teams are well-positioned, while others are considered longshots.

A couple of back-marker NASCAR Ford teams are longshots for sure: Harrison Burton, driver of the No. 21 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, and Todd Gilliland, No. 38 Mustang. Both of these drivers have 700-1 odds of being the 2024 champion. Justin Haley, No. 51 Mustang, clocks in at 400-1, while Ryan Preece, No. 41 Mustang, is 300-1. Rookie Josh Berry, who took over the No. 4 Mustang for Kevin Harvick this year, fares slightly better, with 250-1 odds.

2022 Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric has shown strength early, with the odds of the No. 2 NASCAR Ford team ending up champion sitting at 200-1. In his first year behind the wheel of the No. 10 Mustang, Noah Gragson isn’t a bad bet, and neither is Chase Briscoe, No. 14 Mustang – both have 100-1 odds of taking it all this year. Michael McDowell, the underdog, has been quietly consistent in 2024, with 80-1 odds of taking the No. 34 Mustang all the way.

As for the safest bets in the NASCAR Ford stable, don’t overlook Chris Buescher, No. 17 Mustang (22-1) or his boss, Brad Keselowski, No. 6 Mustang (20-1). Joey Logano has brought the No. 22 Mustang to two championships already (14-1), and defending champion Ryan Blaney, No. 14 Mustang, is sitting pretty so far this year. In fact, his 10-1 odds make him the safest driver to bet on in The Blue Oval camp.

Unsurprisingly, the driver with the best odds to with the 2024 Cup Series championship is William Byron (9-2), whose No. 24 Chevy Camaro ZL1 has already made it to Victory Lane three times this year.

I’m picking Logano to repeat his 2018 and 2022 series championship.
