Joey Gase Throws Bumper, Lands Bumper Sponsor For NASCAR Ford

Xfinity Series regular Joey Gase earned plenty of attention following the race at Richmond Raceway on March 30th 2024. In a bold move spurred by frustration, he grabbed the rear bumper cover from his wrecked race car and launched it at a rival’s windshield, sparking a viral sensation. While the sanctioning body didn’t look too kindly on Gase’s actions and fined him $5,000 for a safety violation, a new sponsor with a sense of humor took notice, putting Bumpers That Deliver on the rear end (and hood) of the No. 53 NASCAR Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Bumpers That Deliver decided to back Gase after he threw the bumper of his (then) Chevy Camaro SS race car at the No. 4 Camaro of Dawson Cram after the two made contact at Richmond. The auto parts manufacturer first appeared on Gase’s rear bumper at Martinsville, one week after the incident, and will provide full support for Gase’s No. 53 NASCAR Ford at Michigan for the Xfinity Race on August 17th.

The partnership also highlights the National Crime Prevention Council’s “Go For Real program,” which spotlights the dangers of counterfeit auto parts and emphasizes the importance and safety of genuine parts, which are subject to more stringent testing and standards than falsified items.

“Joey Gase’s intense racing passion mirrors our dedication to delivering top-notch bumpers,” Bumpers That Deliver said in a press release. “His unique bumper delivery last week showcases why we’re thrilled to back Joey Gase Racing, the National Crime Prevention Council, and Donate Life. We are your go-to for premium replacement auto parts, offering convenience and quality directly to your doorstep.”

Meanwhile, Gase himself said, “Joining forces with Bumpers That Deliver is a thrilling new chapter in my career. This alliance not only underscores the dynamic nature of NASCAR but also fortifies the impactful work of Donate Life and the Go For Real program, steering us toward a safer and more genuine future.”
