NASCAR Ford Truck Loses Points Lead After Texas 2024: Video

Two months into the 2024 Truck Series season, The Blue Oval isn’t looking all that great. While a NASCAR Ford team briefly held the points lead after last weekend’s race at Martinsville, he’s now been demoted to third after a lackluster run at Texas on April 12^th, 2024.

Ty Majeski’s No. 98 Ford F-150 race truck has been the strongest Ford team thus far this season, but he just couldn’t get the truck dialed in at Texas on Friday. He did not lead any laps, and didn’t really run better than 10^th during the race itself – and that’s exactly where he finished, the only NASCAR Ford racer once again to cross the line inside the top 10.

Currently, Majeski has 275 points, 12 points behind leader Christian Eckes, driver of the No. 19 Chevy Silverado RST. While that’s not insurmountable, it’s certainly an indicator that Ford needs to step up its game if it wants to go back-to-back with Truck Series championships. In fact, so far, Ford has zero wins this season.

Meanwhile, Lawless Alan finished 11^th in the No. 33 F-150. Matt Crafton’s No. 88 F-150 wound up 15^th, while Conner Jones, No. 66 F-150 and Jake Garcia, No. 13 F-150, were the only other NASCAR Ford teams inside the top 10, finishing 18^th and 19^th, respectively.

Kyle Busch, the winningest driver in the Truck Series, took home the trophy, putting the No. 7 Silverado RST in Victory Lane at Texas.
