Conquest sales have long been a focus on Ford’s part, and for good reason – attracting owners from other brands often results in converting those folks into customers for life. As such, The Blue Oval has offered an array of incentives aimed at enticing the owners of other branded vehicles to make the switch, including targeting Jeep and Subaru owners as potential Ford Bronco customers, and offering special discounts for Tesla owners that purchase or lease a Ford F-150 Lightning or Ford Mustang Mach-E. Now, as it works to drum up sales amid declining demand for EVs in general, Rivian has rolled out a special incentive aimed at Ford pickup and SUV owners, too.
Those who purchase or lease a RIvian vehicle and trade in an eligible model can now get discounts ranging from $1,000 up to $5,000 on an R1S or R1T, as well as a free year of charging on the company’s Rivian Adventure Network. To be eligible, owners must reside in the United States or Canada, and trade in one of a handful of eligible Blue Oval models – limited to a 2018 or newer Ford F-150, Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition, or Ford Bronco.
From there, customers can get extra discounts that vary depending on which Rivian model they choose to lease or purchase. The R1S with the Large Pack battery comes in at the bottom end with a $1,000 offer, followed by the R1T Standard or Standard+ Pack at $3,000, the R1T Large Pack at $4,000, and the R1T Max Pack at $5,000.
Customers that want to take advantage of this offer must do so Rivian’s online shop, and they’ll be required to put down a $1,000 deposit when ordering a vehicle. From there, the discount will be applied against the purchase or lease of their new Rivian. However, to qualify, customers must also take delivery of their Rivian between April 22nd, 2024 and June 30th, 2024, too.
We’ll have more on Rivian soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Rivian news and continuous Ford news coverage.
