Watch The Ford Mustang 60th Celebration Right Here: Video

Today is an important one in Ford Mustang history, given the fact that 60 years ago on this very date, the pony car debuted to the masses for the very first time. As such, Ford has plenty of special events planned, having downloaded a special new feature to 2024 Mustang owners, revealed the all-new 2025 Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package, and opened up applications for the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD. Later today, FoMoCo will also host a special 60th Anniversary celebration for the Mustang at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, which anyone can watch live via the embedded video below.

During this event, fans in attendance (and viewing virtually) will get to see the Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package in the flesh for the first time, but there’s much more planned than that, including the fact that those same folks will also get to try out some new, exclusive ownership experiences while they’re there, too.

In addition to all of this, pony car fans will also get the chance to meet the stable of Ford Performance drivers, check out every current racer – including the Mustang Mach-E 1400 – experience ride alongs on a drift track and CMS’s famous Roval, and learn about all of the many ownership experiences they’re eligible to partake in. For owners looking to modify their rides, a special Pony Personalization Corner will also contain a host of parts, including some from RTR. The whole thing kicks off at 5pm EDT.

“The popularity of Mustang is rooted in its ability to evoke emotion - whether it’s the roar of the engine or the sight of its iconic silhouette, it sparks a visceral connection,” said Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager, North America. “This year, we’ll start to connect with Mustang customers in exciting new ways.”

We’ll have more on this special celebration soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
