Those seeking a good old fashioned Ford F-150 from the 1990s have had plenty of nice ones to choose from lately, including a 1990 XLT with just 195 miles, a 1993 Flareside with 9k miles, a 17k-mile 1994 Lariat, and a 1994 F-150 with 28k miles showing on the odometer. These nice, vintage-yet-modern pickups are seemingly a dime a dozen these days, in fact, and now we have yet another one to drool over – this 1992 Ford F-150 Flareside that has a mere 290 miles on the clock and is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
This incredibly low-mile 1992 Ford F-150 Flareside was sold new at Charlie Ruth Ford of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and was just acquired by the selling dealer this year, but it’s unclear what happened that resulted in it not really being used over the past few decades. Regardless, it remains in showroom-like condition with perfect Oxford White paint and Bright Red lower bodywork, the beloved Flareside treatment, and 15-inch chrome-finished steel wheels, which have been wrapped with a new set of 31-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires.
The same goes for the Scarlet Red cloth interior, which features a matching red dash and door panel accents coupled with a small handful of amenities including power windows, cruise control, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. In any event, the truck’s condition certainly seems to confirm its low mileage total, as does its Carfax.
Power for this basically brand new 1992 Ford F-150 comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8, which utilizes multi-port electronic fuel injection and was just treated to fresh fluids ahead of its sale. It sends power to all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a push-button dual-range transfer case, while power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes with a rear anti-lock feature provide the stopping power. Given its incredibly low mileage total and stellar condition, we imagine that this ’90s F-150 will garner significant interest at auction in the coming days, too.
