2005 Ford Taurus SE Wagon With Just 34K Miles Up For Auction

Once the preferred method of transportation for American families, the humble wagon has since largely gone the way of the dinosaur. These days, most gravitate toward crossovers and SUVs, to the point where Ford simply opted to purge sedans (and wagons) from its lineup in the U.S. years ago, instead opting to fill out its portfolio with quite a few of those types of vehicles. Thus, Blue Oval wagon fans must look to the used vehicle market to find a nice one these days, and that’s precisely where we stumbled across this 2005 Ford Taurus SE wagon.

2005 Ford Taurus SE Wagon With 34K Miles - Exterior 002 - Rear Three Quarters

This Ford Taurus wagon is currently up for auction at Cars & Bids in terrific condition with just 34k miles showing on the odometer, which is rather low for a vehicle of this vintage. It remained in the possession of the original owner until just last year, and might just be one of the nicest base model Ford Taurus wagons of this vintage that we’ve seen in a long time, with just the typical scratches and minor flaws marring its Merlot Metallic paint.

The gray cloth interior doesn’t have too many amenities to offer, but it does feature the ones that count – a list that includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM/CD stereo system, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. In the back, there’s a rear-facing bench seat for the little ones, just like they used to make them in the old days, too. Power for this pristine Ford Taurus wagon comes from the naturally-aspirated 3.0L V6, which was factory-rated to produce 155 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque, and it’s mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.

This Ford Taurus wagon certainly isn’t alone, however, as we’ve see quite a few nice examples of this particular model hit the auction block as of late – including a sub-200 mile 2005 SE wagon, a 2004 wagon with 40k miles, a nice 2004 sedan that sold for cheap, and a 2005 Mercury Sable wagon that raked in far more money, surprisingly.
