The 2024 Ford Bronco received quite a few changes and updates in terms of exterior color offerings, giving customers new choices to dress their rugged ponies with, while eliminating others, including a few long-running options. For example, the 2024 Bronco no longer offers Area 51, while the Heritage models picked up the new Peak Blue color, and Raptor models gained Shelter Green. Further changes have just hit, though, as several colors that were previously no-cost for the Bronco now cost extra.
Ford recently updated the color options on its website, allowing customers to explore what hues are available for the 2024 Bronco while outlining how much each one costs. Specifically, Velocity Blue Metallic (E7), Eruption Green Metallic (FA), Cactus Gray (NE), Race Red (PQ) and Shelter Green (DB) are now extra-cost colors for the 2024 Ford Bronco. All five of these colors are now priced at $295, further limiting the pool of free colors that are offered on the off-road SUV. In fact, the only remaining no-cost colors for the 2024 Ford Bronco are Shadow Black, Oxford White, Iconic Silver Metallic and Carbonized Gray.
Ditching no-cost colors seems to be a theme from The Blue Oval as of late. The 2024 Ford Mustang ditched almost all of its zero-cost colors, only leaving Carbonized Gray Metallic, Oxford White, Shadow Black, and Iconic Silver Metallic as free options – just like the 2024 Ford Bronco. The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport has a similar story, making all of its “free” colors extra cost aside from the same aforementioned hues.
This change also reflects a larger trend that has been slowly gaining popularity in the broader automotive industry. Many automakers charge more for paint colors that aren’t the “basic” white, black, or gray shades, meaning customers who want something flashier should be prepared to shell out for it.

And crap colors to add insult to injury
Jerks at Ford.
The sheer arrogance. Stop buying these vehicles. Nickel and dime to death! So we can fund the EV scam!
Since we’re paying for the color we want now why can’t I have any color Bronco? I think Ford has a crappiest colors going as it is. No metallic and it’s black Broncos no other white color other than that nasty Oxford White. I would like to see a Bronco in Star White metallic tricoat.
Amen…that’s a beautiful topcoat that certainly seems to be offered on everything else!!!
They offer metallic paint, eruption is metallic.
