Since its debut, the all-new S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang has gained a plethora of aftermarket parts and accessories for owners to choose from, coupled with an array of goods from The Blue Oval itself. The latter list includes things like a factory matte clear film option, a supercharger kit for GT models equipped with the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, and an array of indoor and outdoor car covers, to name just a few. Earlier this month, that list also grew to include the new Ford Performance track lowering spring kit for the 2024 Ford Mustang GT, and now, the same option has also been added for S650 pony cars with the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost, too.
The new 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost track lowering spring kit is compatible with 2024 fastback models with passive suspension systems – as well as 2015-2023 fastbacks with the passive suspension – and is designed to work perfectly with the OEM struts, shocks, and sway bars present on that particular pony car. The spring kit lowers those models by around one inch, giving them a more aggressive stance, coupled with improved handling dynamics while also maintaining what the company calls “excellent ride quality.”
It is worth noting that, as is usually the case with more aggressive springs, this kit can lead to a slightly harsher ride when compared to the OEM units, but such is the compromise we often make in the name of performance. In any event, this spring kit comes from Ford’s OEM supplier, meaning that quality is just as good as those stock units, regardless. However, the kit is not compatible with models equipped with the MagneRide suspension system.
This new 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost track lowering spring kit comes with the company’s jounce bumpers and rear spring anti-squeak pads sold under part number M-5570-B, though installation may require an alignment. The kit is available to purchase now via the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-5300-S62T, and retails for $365.
