Ford Argentina Sales Down 8.1 Percent In April 2024

Ford Argentina sales decreased 8.1 percent to 2,564 units in April 2024. The figures placed Ford as the fifth best-selling car brand in Argentina, behind Toyota, Volkswagen, Fiat, and Peugeot.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Ford Bronco Sport sales decreased 30.63 percent to 77 units
Ford EcoSport sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Ford F-Series sales decreased 89.01 percent to 10 units
Ford Kuga sales increased 300 percent to 4 units
Ford Maverick sales increased 21.39 percent to 227 units
Ford Mustang sales decreased 91.67 percent to 1 units
Ford Ranger sales decreased 0.37 percent to 1,860 units
Ford Territory sales increased 116.34 percent to 331 units
Ford Transit sales decreased 65.41 percent to 46 units

During the first four months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Argentina sales decreased 25 percent to 9,990 units.

The Ford Authority Take

For the fourth consecutive month, Ford Argentina sales fell significantly in April and deepened the brand’s negative streak in the South American country. Despite everything, FoMoCo’s performance in the Argentine market last month marks a recovery compared to the steeper declines of previous months.

Ford Argentina’s contraction in April was driven by widespread declines in sales of most models in the portfolio, including the best-selling Ford Ranger. The domestically manufactured midsize pickup suffered a slight year-on-year drop of less than one percent and 7 units, but with a notable volume of 1,860 units that consolidates it as Ford’s most popular model in the country.

In contrast, three other Ford models managed to increase their sales in the month. Among them, the all-new Ford Territory stands out with a three-digit increase and a volume of more than 300 units, with which it maintains its growing popularity as the brand’s second best-selling nameplate. The Ford Maverick also had a good month.
