The Ford Bronco Sport and Ford Bronco Heritage Limited, along with the regular Heritage models, debuted for the 2023 model year sporting a host of unique features designed to pay homage to the first-generation of the iconic SUV. The “limited” part of the Ford Bronco Heritage Limited name stemmed from the fact that The Blue Oval only planned to build 1,966 units of each in total – corresponding with the first year of production for the Bronco itself. However, while the 2024 Bronco Sport dropped the Heritage Limited from its lineup, Ford Bronco Heritage Limited production continued into 2024, though it seems as if the current model year will be the end of the proverbial line.
As part of a number of mid-year updates for the 2024 Bronco, the Heritage Limited is gaining Peak Blue as a new exterior color option, according to Bronco Nation, but the same report points out that 2024 will be the last model year for this variant as well. Unfortunately for those that want to purchase a Heritage Limited, order banks for that limited-edition model closed late last year, meaning that they’ll have to search existing dealer inventory to find one.
Aside from this bit of news, the 2024 Ford Bronco also received a host of interesting and notable changes as part of its mid-year updates. Perhaps the most notable is the addition of a Shadow Black painted hard top option, as it’s something that was originally supposed to be available when the sixth-generation Bronco debuted for the 2021 model year. Additionally, the 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor gained a body-color hard top option, as well as the just-revealed Raptor Black Appearance Package.
As for regular 2024 Bronco variants, customers can now spec them with the same style of running boards present on the Bronco Raptor, as Ford Authority recently reported, which double as rock rails for off-roading purposes, too.
