Ford Bronco Production Increased In April 2024

Production of the all-new 2024 Ford Ranger at the Michigan Assembly plant has been on the rise for months now, and that upward trend continued in April as well, with 7,590 2024 Ranger pickups emerging from MAP, which is 883 or just over 13 percent more than March. However, at the same time, production of the Ford Bronco – which is built alongside the Ranger at this same facility – hasn’t been following suit as of late, a move that corresponded with growing inventory of the off-road-focused SUV. Now that Ford’s April sales report has been released, it does reveal that this trend reversed last month, however.

Kicking off the new year in January, Ford Bronco production at MAP declined to 12,143 units versus December 2023, which was a decrease of 1,199 units, or just a touch less than nine percent. That number did improve by 516 units or just over four percent in February, closing out last month at 12,659 units, though things took a drastic downward turn in March.

In that particular month, Ford Bronco production totaled 9,833 units – which represented a month-over-month decrease of 2,826 units, or around 22 percent. This rather notable drop could very well be attributed to declining sales and increasing inventory, as well as the aforementioned sharp ramp up in Ranger production. Either way, Ford Bronco production bounced right back in April, totaling 11,395 units – an increase of 1,562 units or just under 16 percent.

Along with the fact that some paint options now cost extra, the 2024 Ford Bronco has been treated to a variety of changes for the current model year. That includes the addition of the Everglades wheel for certain Sasquatch Package-equipped models, a Raptor-style running board for regular models, and a Shadow Black painted hard top option, while the 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor gained a body-color hard top option, as well as the recently-revealed Raptor Black Appearance Package.
