While Ford is an automaker first and foremost – and has been for over a century to this point – the company is also one of the more iconic entities not only in the U.S., but also, across the globe. The Ford brand itself is a valuable commodity, and we’ve seen this time and time again via things like merchandise sales, but aside from selling its own gear, The Blue Oval has also teamed up with a number of individuals and fashion brands as of late for some special collections. Now, that list has grown yet again.
Ford Europe just announced that it has partnered with Bershka, a Spanish clothing company that was established back in 1998 and focuses mostly on young folks. Since then, the outfit has expanded in a big way, and operates roughly 1,000 stores in 75 different countries, acquiring a variety of other brands along the way.
The new collection that stems from this collaboration – Ford x Bershka – features a pretty wide array of goods, including shirts, hats, and jackets of all colors and styles, all of which feature things like retro racing lines and even designs inspired by vintage models like the first-generation Mustang. The concept behind this line is simple, however – it’s focused on conjuring up memories of our youth, spent hanging out at race tracks on hot summer nights.
Of course, this is just the latest in a bevy of Ford-based apparel collections that have debuted as of late. The automaker teamed up with actress and noted Blue Oval fan Sydney Sweeney to create multiple workwear collections, as well as Madewell with a retro-themed clothing line, Cold Culture for an 18-piece collection, and more recently, another youth-focused brand in Forever 21.
We’ll have more on Ford’s fashion collaborations soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for continuous Ford news coverage.
