Last December, the Ford Mustang Mach-E was treated to a price cut in Australia ranging from $2,675 for the GT to a significant $7,000 for the entry-level Select in that market. This echoed similar cuts in other parts of the world where the EV crossover is sold, making it a more attractive prospect for those in the market for such a model. Now, just a few months later, the Ford Mustang Mach-E lineup has received yet another price cut in Australia, which is also true of the Ford E-Transit.
According to CarExpert, the entire Ford Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit lineups have received rather notable price reductions in Australia, in fact. As for the Mach-E, the Select will now start out at $64,990, which is a whopping $8,000 less than its previous MSRP of $72,990 and its initial launch price of $79,990. The Mach-E Premium now costs $79,990, which is $7,000 cheaper than its prior price of $86,990 – far lower than the original price tag of $91,665.
The high-performance Mach-E GT now starts at $97,990, also $7,000 cheaper than the previous price of $104,990, and it launched with a $107,665 MSRP. As for the E-Transit, it previously retailed for $104,990, but now, will be a rather significant $15,000 cheaper at $89,990. “These MLP price reductions offer even greater value to our customers and it makes these great vehicles an option for more people,” said Ford Australia and New Zealand president and CEO Andrew Birkic.
In addition to a number of also-notable price cuts in the U.S. as of late, the Ford Mustang Mach-E also got cheaper in the UK this past October, making it more competitive in a market that’s aiming to transition to pure EVs sooner than most. In the U.S., the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E was just treated to a zero percent financing offer as well, coupled with discounts reaching $7,500 in total.
