Ford Puma Among Top 10 European Best Sellers In April 2024

Since the day it launched a few years ago, the Ford Puma has remained a regular on the list of the best-selling new vehicles in Europe. There, consumers continue to scoop up the small crossover in large quantities, and that trend has continued well into 2024 as well. In fact, the Ford Puma was the best-selling passenger car in the UK, specifically, in April, and it also landed in the top 10 among all new vehicles in Europe last month as well.

According to new data from JATO Dynamics, the Ford Puma was the ninth best-selling new vehicle in Europe last month with 14,868 units sold – a 28 percent increase over April 2023, to boot. That ranked the Puma behind only the Dacia Sandero, Volkswagen Golf, Renault Clio, Volkswagen T-Roc, Peugeot 208, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Octavia, and Citroen C3.

This continues a months-long hot streak for the Ford Puma, which ranked as the 12th best-selling new vehicle in Europe with 13,375 units sold in January, sliding down to 18th place after recording sales of 11,745 units in February, and moving up to ninth after logging 19,077 sales in March. As a whole, the European new vehicle market enjoyed a strong boost in April as well, with registrations increasing by 12.6 percent to 1,080,517 units.

Meanwhile, the Puma has plenty of momentum as the refreshed 2024 model was just unveiled this past February, ushering in a few updates for the popular crossover. The 2024 Puma only features a few small exterior styling updates, including new headlights, though inside the cabin, the Puma gains a larger 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch infotainment screen running SYNC 4 software. In terms of powertrains, the 2024 Ford Puma comes with the 1.0L I-3 EcoBoost gas engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system to generate either 125 PS (153 horsepower) or 155 (153 horsepower) PS, or 170 PS (168 horsepower) for the Puma ST Powershift model.
