Ford’s Garage Set To Open In Short Pump, Virginia

Since opening its first location a few years back, Ford’s Garage – an officially licensed restaurant chain that features a Blue Oval theme and loads of cool memorabilia – has grown at a rather rapid rate. Ford’s Garage continues to not only open new locations across the U.S., but also announce further expansions amid that quick expansion, and now, it’s set to add yet another dining spot for customers in Virginia as well.

The latest Ford’s Garage location is set to open in Short Pump, Virginia, at West Broad Village after the company filed plans to do so with Henrico County officials, according to Richmond Bizsense. The exact location of the new restaurant has played host to a variety of restaurants in the past – including Mimi’s Café, Carolina Ale House, and MPM Tiki Bar – but currently sits vacant. When it opens, this new location will be the first Ford’s Garage in the state of Virginia, notably, as well as its 30^th overall.

The fact that Ford’s Garage continues to grow at such a rapid rate remains a testament to its business model and overall appeal, especially given the fact that many other restaurants have closed their doors amid labor shortages and soaring inflation. However, as Ford Authority previously reported, company brass have worked to keep prices down by reducing the menu by 25 percent and purchasing more efficient equipment.

At the same time, Ford’s Garage also recently served as an official watch location for the Kentucky Derby for the second straight year. As part of that celebration, all locations served up unique drinks and food while hosting special parties and events and showing qualifying races and the main event, all as part of a collaboration between the restaurant chain, Ford Motor Company, Churchill Downs Racetrack, and the Kentucky Derby.
