The refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer was unveiled in early February, showcasing updated interior and exterior styling along with a host of new features, transforming the crossover into a high-tech powerhouse. Previously, Ford Authority delved into all packages available for the refreshed crossover, and today, we’re taking a closer look at the interior colorways on offer.
Colorway availability depends on trim level, and as a reminder, the 2025 Explorer gets a revamped trim level lineup that now consists of Active, Platinum, ST-Line and ST. The base Active trim features two interior color choices: one is standard, while the other is only available as part of the Active Comfort Package. The ST, ST-Line and Platinum trims each get one standard interior colorway, while an upgrade is available in the form of the Luxe Leather Package+, offering two additional interior colorways for the Platinum trim.

Under the hood, the forthcoming Explorer offers two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.3L I4 EcoBoost, which is standard in the Active, Platinum and ST-Line, while the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost is standard for the ST and optional in the Platinum.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Explorer is ditching its factory-installed Illuminated Door Entry Keypad for a dealer-installed option, an extra-cost choice. Additionally, the refreshed Explorer gained one exterior color known as Vapor Blue Metallic, while dropping two others.
Production of the 2025 Explorer will continue at the Chicago Assembly plant, and kicked off in May. Pricing starts at $38,670 for the new base Active trim, and despite all the new features and updates, certain trims are actually more affordable than the outgoing 2024 model year.

As a 2020 Ford Explorer Platinum owner, I’m waiting for 2026 Ford Expedition and Explorer info and renderings… I hear they are going to include considerable platform updates.
2025 Explorer prices have went up a lot I guess Ford is tired of selling them.
