The very last 2024 Ford Edge rolled off the assembly line at the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada on May 3rd, marking the end of the Edge line in North America completely. Ford Authority recently delved into the optional packages available for the crossover, and today, we’re taking a look at each of the 11 wheel options offered on the 2024 Edge, including how to get each one.

19-inch High-Gloss Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheel
Wheel availability differs depending on trim level. As a reminder, the 2024 Edge is offered in SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST trims. The standard wheels for the base SE trim are the 18-inch Sparkle Silver-painted aluminum wheels, while an upgrade is available in the form of the 18-inch split-spoke Sparkle Silver-painted aluminum wheels; note that these are also standard on the SEL trim. Adding the Black Appearance Package, a $1,295 bundle, to the Edge SEL grants the 19-inch High-Gloss Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels.

20-inch Premium Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheel
The 18-inch Carbonized Gray-painted aluminum wheels are included as part of the Sport Appearance Package, which is offered on the Edge SEL trim for $1,295. The SEL trim can also be fitted with the 18-inch Bright Machined aluminum wheels with Premium Dark stainless-painted pockets, which are a standalone option for this model. Meanwhile, the only wheel choice offered on the 2024 Ford Edge ST-Line is the 20-inch Premium Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheel, standard on this model.

20-inch Polished Aluminum wheel
The 19-inch Luster Nickel-painted aluminum wheels are standard on the Edge Titanium, while the 20-inch Bright Machined aluminum wheels with Premium Dark Stainless-painted pockets are optional on this trim. The Titanium trim can also be fitted with the 20-inch Polished Aluminum wheels, which are included as part of the Titanium Elite Package for $2,175.

Meanwhile, the ST trim gets the 20-inch Premium Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels as standard, while the 21-inch Premium Gloss Black-painted wheels are available as a standalone option for this trim, or as part of the ST Performance Brake Package, which is a $2,695 bundle.
As a reminder, production of the Ford Escape beyond the 2024 model year just wasn’t a viable option for the crossover. Considering that the Oakville plant will be overhauled to solely build EVs, continuing to produce the Edge simply could not continue because of “supply case constraints and emissions requirements.”

The Edge has been selling well, so why disconue it?
Other Ford vehicles are using the same engines so it’s not really emissions related.
Bill is right. EVs are selling slow even with tax credits and discounts. Look at how much the Mach E price ahs been reduced due to pressure from Tesla.
And Farley is wanting a 4 door Mustang now……
Come on Ford! Bring back some sedans. Keep you best selling crossovers!! DO NOT source manufacuring from China. And leave the Mustang a 2 door pony car!!!
The Edge, while certainly a tried and true model, has some issues for Ford including being limited to 5 seats, being dated in design, appealing to an older demographic, and not selling well without incentives. However, Ford does need a competitive mid-size SUV and will not have one now that the Edge is discontinued in North America. They can always import the Chinese Edge which is all new or perhaps start manufacturing an existing SUV such as the Everest currently built for other markets. Their EV strategy has fallen into disfavor.
