Unfortunately, once again, the NASCAR Ford Truck Series teams lagged at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24th, 2024. No Ford led any laps, and the best Blue Oval-backed race truck finished fifth.
That truck was the No. 99 Ford F-150 of Ben Rhodes, who started 13th and muscled his way back up through the field. He was credited with ninth place at the end of Stage 1, but dropped out of the top 10 at the Stage 2 finish. However, he took advantage of several late-race pit stops to nudge his way to a fifth-place finish.
Jake Garcia’s No. 13 NASCAR Ford F-150 was the only other Blue Oval racer to finish inside the top 10, earning a sixth-place result, right behind Rhodes. Connor Jones’ No. 66 F-150 brought it home in 11th. In fact, they were the only three F-150 race trucks to finish inside the top 20.
Overall, the NASCAR Ford trucks just didn’t have a night to write home about. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the No. 2 Chevy Silverado RST of Nick Sanchez held off the No. 11 Toyota TRD Tundra of Corey Heim to win, although Heim was later disqualified from his second-place finish due to loose lug nuts discovered in a postrace inspection.

Although all Trucks in this series are Powered by a Nascar spec Chevy engine This failure by the teams using for Ford bodied trucks Indicates The Ford teams lack of performance are not engine related, apparently those teams & Ford Racing is lacking in race savy !
