Since the day it debuted six decades ago, the Ford Mustang has remained one of the top vehicle choices among enthusiasts, as well as one of the most commonly customized models on the planet. As such, aftermarket support for the beloved pony car only continues to grow, and that trend has extended to the all-new S650 generation, as one would expect. In that realm, Steeda continues to roll out new parts and accessories for the 2024 Ford Mustang, and the latest is this – a differential cooler kit.
Designed for those that like to take their pony car to the track, Steeda’s new differential cooler kit is a great way to keep temperatures in that area at a reasonable level. As many track day veterans already know, extended use in that type of venue can lead to high diff temps, which can accelerate wear on parts like bearings, the gear set, and the differential itself – and in some cases, even lead to the car cutting power if things get too out of control. However, Steeda has tested its new diff cooler in the heat of Florida, spending an hour and a half on the track with no issues.
This new kit consists of -10AN braided stainless steel oil lines, a Tilton pump, a Ford oil cooler assembly, a wiring harness with the fuse, switch, and relay included, and all of the typical brackets and hardware needed for installation – in the factory location, to boot. The kit expands the Mustang’s differential fluid capacity by up to 1.5 quarts and is designed to keep noise and unpleasant smells out of the cabin, while also being designed to be both easy to install and remove if so desired.
The new Steeda Ford Mustang differential cooler kit is available to purchase now for $1,399.95, and is compatible not only with the 2024 S650 model, but also, the 2015-2023 S550 as well. However, those with the new-gen model can also check out a host of other new parts from Steeda, a list that includes performance air filters, a billet front tow hook, a rear spoiler, and a G-Trac brace, to name just a few.
