2004 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer Power Stroke Up For Auction

Though it was discontinued years ago, the Ford Excursion has arguably only grown in popularity since it vanished from The Blue Oval’s lineup, largely because there’s just nothing else like it out there. Automakers don’t build SUVs quite as large or as capable as the Ford Excursion, after all, which is basically just a utility version of the Ford Super Duty. As a result, Excursion values have skyrocketed in recent years, and now, this very nice 2004 Eddie Bauer-trimmed model figures to keep that trend going.

This 2004 Ford Excursion is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer after spending its entire existence with one owner until this past April, though they did actually use it over the years, as is evidenced by the 101k miles showing on the odometer. Regardless, they also took great care of the giant SUV, as it has only minor flaws on the outside marring its Oxford White paint. The Excursion has been fitted with a bull bar and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires, but is otherwise largely original.

The interior of this Ford Excursion is also in great shape with Medium and Dark Parchment leather seats, plus amenities such as heated power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, second-row captain’s chairs, the rear-seat entertainment system, a CD stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

In this case, power comes from the turbocharged 6.0L V8 Power Stroke diesel engine, originally rated to produce 325 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque, which flows to either the rear or all our wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. Overall, this Ford Excursion remains in solid shape and seems to have been very well taken care of over the years, which bodes well for its next owner, from what we’ve seen in the past.

  1. 2002 V10 Excursion in my driveway. 200k plus with zero issues except normal wear items. The only thing I’d replace it with is a 2025 Excursion built on the current super Duty platform. Ford could likely sell 25k of them a year at 100k plus if they’d bring it back. One of those rare items that you didn’t know how much you needed one until it was no longer available.
