2014 Ford Focus Electric With Just 8K Miles Up For Auction

While we routinely see Ford Focus ST models pop up for sale at various collector car auctions, that isn’t necessarily true of the Ford Focus Electric, an early EV in a world that has quite a few of them to offer at the moment. In fact, we’ve come across everything from regular ST models to a pair that were once used as part of Ford Performance’s Octane Academy years ago, and yet, not a single Ford Focus Electric – until now, that is.

This 2014 Ford Focus Electric is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and even better, it has only 8k miles showing on the odometer at the moment. With a clean title and accident-free history, that means this Oxford White EV remains in stellar condition with no noted flaws on the exterior, and in the photos provided, it looks like it could have just rolled off the showroom floor, complete with an illuminated charge port and unique badging.

Peek behind the 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and one will find a regenerative braking system, though the interior looks much like any other Focus of this generation. In this case, it features niceties like digital displays, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Medium Light Stone cloth seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a Sony CD stereo, and Ford’s SYNC infotainment with navigation and a backup camera.

Of course, what sets the Ford Focus Electric apart from the rest of the lineup is what powers it – a 107 kW electric motor and a 23 kWh liquid heated and cooled lithium-ion battery pack, which is mated to a single-speed transmission and was factory-rated to produce 143 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Though it only had a range of around 76 miles when new, the Ford Focus Electric was obviously a bit ahead of its time, making this one a pretty cool find.

I met someone who had a blue Focus Electric and he was very happy with it. Where were are, that range is plenty enough.
