Prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic – which essentially shut down all automotive events for at least a year or two – the Carlisle Ford Nationals was continuing to grow and set new records in terms of the number of vehicles it had on display, as well as the number of people that attended the largest annual all-Ford event in the U.S. However, with the pandemic squarely in the rear-view, the 2024 Carlisle Ford Nationals managed to once again set a new personal record.
According to event staff, more than 3,500 cars, trucks, and SUVs were registered and in attendance on Saturday at the 2024 Carlisle Ford Nationals, with the final count for the show field coming in at a staggering 3,572 vehicles. That was good for a new record, and though Carlisle Events hasn’t yet tallied the final number of attendees at this year’s gathering, it estimates that 50,000 to 60,000 people showed up to check out those thousands of rides.
This growth isn’t terribly surprising for the mega-popular three-day event, which is essentially a dream gathering for any true Blue Oval fan. This year, that included a number of anniversary displays – many dedicated to the 60th birthday of the Ford Mustang – club reunions for the Y Block engine, Mustang II, and 40 years of SVO, and a wide variety of rare, custom, and one-off vehicles in one convenient place.
Along with those notable rides, the 2024 Carlisle Ford Nationals offered fans a swap meet and car corral where they could shop for a new ride or parts for their current one, as well as lots of action on the track that included autocross events, drifting demonstrations, and monster truck rides. Throw in a number of seminars hosted by celebrities and notable Ford brass, and it’s not terribly surprising that the Carlisle Ford Nationals continued its staggering growth this year.

I was a very enjoyable time. The weather was actually comfortable for a change too!
Right after schools let out are the best event calendar times. Then, the other end of summer at Labor day. Best chance of avoiding the worst of hot season.
Well Built FORD’S Out there…. JOB ONE!!
