Earlier this month, Ford Authority spotted a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport prototype out testing with zero camouflage, revealing many of the crossover’s forthcoming updates that will be part of its mid-cycle refresh. However, this particular prototype also had one notable feature that we hadn’t yet seen at that point – space for rear tow hooks in an also-new rear “skid plate” that extends up into the bumper, signaling that the Bronco Sport may gain such a feature for the first time. Now, Ford Authority has spotted another 2025 Ford Bronco Sport prototype with those rear tow hooks installed for the first time, too.
As we can clearly see on this 2025 Ford Bronco Badlands prototype, there are a pair of rear tow hooks installed into the new rear bumper, which is the first time we’ve gotten a look at this particular feature. Previously-spied prototypes had an open spot here with no tow hooks present, which merely hinted that Ford was planning on adding that part to its refreshed crossover.
The presence of these rear tow hooks is notable because they aren’t available on the current Bronco Sport Badlands, which has front tow hooks and a single rear recovery point only. Other notable updates for the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport include slightly revised headlight and front bumper designs, along with integrated skid plates in the front and rear, as we can clearly see here, along with Goodyear tires rather than the 235/65R17 Falken Wildpeak all-terrain rubber that’s present on the current Badlands model, plus a 360-degree camera system.
In addition to these somewhat minor exterior styling updates, we also know that the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport mid-cycle refresh will bring about a few other changes to the relatively new model, including some interior revisions such as the addition of a larger infotainment screen.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco Sport news and continuous Ford news coverage.
