  1. What about the 2013 models? They are also known to have the same issue?

  2. No Ford vehicle is immune from a recall, even their bread-and-butter vehicles. This makes buying a Ford/Lincoln new or used is a very risky proposition.

  3. Recent news seemed to indicate quality control is getting better. #3 in recalls this year. Sometimes the favorite horse lags but when they round the clubhouse turn I’m sure Farley will have record time in the stretch and win the race again

  4. Just dropped off my 2014 f150 for the recall. Unfortunately my truck dropped into 1st gear 3x nearly killing my family on the freeway during the pandemic. I dropped my truck off at dealership to be told it could be there for up to three months as ford didn’t have the employees to work on it. I HAD TO GO ELSEWHERE as I am not a well off person and needed my vehicle to get to work. Took it to two different places after two scary incidents and the second place did their best and replaced the throttle body after diagnosis of moisture in the body settling off a sensor. After this replacement my truck never had the issue again in the last 2.5 years. Btw Ford refused to pay for this service because I didn’t find the exact problem with their software. They will only cover specific software updates THAT THEY THEMSELVES DID NOT HAVE at the time. I was just trying to survive and get my truck running without endangering my family in the process. Why ford will not cover these charges my family incurred to fix their vehicle to the best of our knowledge at the time of the occurrences confounds me. This is not my first platinum f150, it may be my last.

  5. I’ve recently got the recall done I I’m pretty sure that they didn’t even do it my truck will still downshift from time to time and if I go back to the dealership they say it’s fine but a few days later the same issue is still there.
