The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales declined slightly during the month of May, which again deepened the brand’s lackluster performance in the South American country as the fifth consecutive monthly decline. However, Ford’s 2,654 deliveries last month represent a healthy increase over the previous month’s volume, notably slowing the contraction rate.

Although most models suffered significant declines, Ford Argentina’s the Ford Ranger drove the brand’s recovery in May. The domestically manufactured midsize pickup ended its negative streak with a significant double-digit increase and added 301 units year-over-year, cementing its position as the brand’s best-selling model in the country.

Meanwhile, the main culprit of the brand’s overall decline was the Ford Territory. The compact crossover saw its deliveries fall last month, dropping by more than 130 units compared to May 2023. On the other hand, the first 7 units of the new Ford Bronco Wildtrak recently introduced in Argentina were sold in May.
