Ford Colombia Sales Up Four Percent In May 2024

Ford Colombia sales increased four percent to 522 units in May 2024 compared to May 2023 results.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Ford Bronco sales totaled 29 units
Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 69.23 percent to 44 units
Ford E-Transit sales totaled 0 units
Ford EcoSport sales totaled 0 units
Ford Edge sales decreased 54.55 percent to 5 units
Ford Escape sales increased 517.14 percent to 216 units
Ford Expedition sales totaled 6 units
Ford Explorer sales decreased 35.59 percent to 38 units
Ford F-150 Lightning sales totaled 0 units
Ford F-Series sales decreased 66.67 percent to 18 units
Ford Mustang sales decreased 25 percent to 6 units
Ford Ranger sales decreased 49.35 percent to 157 units

During the first five months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Colombia sales increased 27 percent to 2,901 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Colombia sales slight growth in May continued to expand the brand’s momentum in the country, where Ford has accumulated a remarkable streak of eight consecutive months of growth. As such, the Blue Oval once again contrasted with the poor performance of the Colombian automotive market during the past month.

As in previous months, the Ford Escape was the main protagonist in the brand’s success story and was also the model that helped tip the balance in a positive direction. The compact crossover once again achieved a highest triple-digit growth rate and increased the number of units by more than six times year-over-year.

This contrasts with the massive decline of the Ford Ranger, which registered a significant double-digit drop and lost a notable volume of 153 units year-over-year. The midsize pickup continues to struggle commercially in Colombia despite the introduction of redesigned model. The F-Series truck line also suffered a high loss during the month.
