About Ford Edge

The Ford Edge, in its current form, is on its way out. Production of the Edge at the Oakville Assembly plant in early May. However, as previously reported by Ford Authority, the Edge will likely be replaced with an EV in the future, although the timetable for such a change has not yet been revealed. The popular midsize crossover was built over the course of quite a few years – 2007-2024, in fact – with a grand total of 2,609,545 Edges built in total over that timeframe.

As a reminder, the 2024 Ford Edge was completely unchanged for its final year as it gets sent out to pasture, though the future of the nameplate remains unknown outside of China, where a next generation model is currently on sale.
