S550 Ford Mustang Crashes During Failed Drift Attempt

Ford Mustang fans hate it, and fans of other brands love it, but the fact of the matter is, we rarely go a day without coming across some sort of video showing our beloved pony car crashing in some manner. Perhaps most embarrassingly, many of these crashes occur as a result of driver inexperience or their attempt at doing something completely stupid and – oftentimes – illegal. Now, we’re being treated to yet another video of that type, this time, one involving an S550 Ford Mustang.

In the short clip, we can see the Ford Mustang driving down the road as the driver attempts to show off for the camera by executing a little drift as it cruises by a large building. However, as is typically the case, the person doing this isn’t exactly a professional drifter, and winds up losing control. As a result, the poor pony car quickly exits the road and proceeds to roll down a grassy hill.

Trouble is, there are multiple objects in the Mustang’s path – including a tree, which it smacks into, and yet, it keeps on rolling. The tree and the Mustang finally come to a rest at the bottom of that hill, but there’s just one more problem – the car also crashed into a parked Ford F-150 that was sitting down there, too, adding further insult (and insurance claims) to its tally of destruction.

We wish that we could say this is a rare occurrence, but that’s certainly not the case – rather, we’ve seen all kinds of wild and bizarre Ford Mustang crashes in recent months, a list that includes another S550 that nearly took out a group of bystanders during a drift attempt, an older model that smashed into a tree, one that ran into a building, and even another outside of the U.S. that mowed down a crowd. Needless to say, it’s probably best if some folks stick to cars that aren’t quite as capable, but we doubt that will be the case.
