Updated Cup Championship Odds Mixed For NASCAR Ford Teams

The NASCAR Ford teams started the 2024 Cup Series strong when it came to championship betting odds, but dipped slightly as The Blue Oval struggled to find Victory Lane until a third of the season was out of the way. Now, some Blue Oval-backed racers are still an excellent choice for the 2024 championship, while others are still a long shot for bettors looking to take a risk.

According to the updated betting odds on NASCAR.com, the safest bet in the NASCAR Ford stable is still defending champion Ryan Blaney, who drives the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, with current odds to win it all again sitting at 12-1. Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 6 Mustang, has also worked his way up the ranks with current odds of 14-1, and Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Mustang, is currently at 20-1.

Chris Buescher, driver of the No. 17 Mustang, is still a pretty good bet with current 25-1 odds to be the 2024 champion. There’s quite a jump to the next-best Blue Oval racer, Chase Briscoe, driver of the No. 14 Mustang, who’s favored at 100-1 odds, and Noah Gragson, driver of the No. 10 Mustang, is currently not listed, dropped from opening odds of 100-1. Michael McDowell, driver of the No. 34 NASCAR Ford, clocks in at 150-1 odds, followed by Josh Berry’s 200-1 odds. Previously, the driver of the No. 10 Mustang was favored at 65-1, and has dropped quite a bit since then.

Austin Cindric is a bit of a long shot in the No. 2 Mustang at 250-1 odds, and Ryan Preece is an even riskier bet at 400-1 odds. Justin Haley, driver of the 51 Mustang, clocks in at 800-1 odds, followed by Todd Gilliland, driver of the No. 38 Mustang and Harrison Burton, No. 21 Mustang, both the longest shots in the field at 1,000-1 odds.

Things were looking up for the NASCAR Ford teams before they were kneecapped at Charlotte due to wrecks, and weren’t even given the chance to rectify their situations as the race was rain-shortened. It seems like some Blue Oval-backed teams are on the rise, while others are still struggling, but who knows – there’s still plenty of time for Ford to turn things around this season.
