Buyers of the 2024 Ford Bronco can now customize their rugged pony with a handful of unique roof options right from the factory. Below, Ford Authority outlines everything you need to know about the roofs available for the Bronco, right down to trim level, pricing, and availability.
As a reminder, 2024 Ford Bronco trim level lineup includes Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, Raptor, Heritage Edition, and Heritage Limited Edition, with two-door and four-door models available. Note that the two-door Bronco is outfitted with a molded in color (MIC) hard top as standard; there is no soft top available for these models.
Retractable Full Twill Soft Top
The Retractable Full Twill Soft Top is offered on all four-door Bronco trims for $2,600. This top is touted as being the perfect option for all weather conditions in every season, and the Sunrider function allows the top to easily open from inside the vehicle for an open-air ride. It works in conjunction with the factory doors and allows the rear tailgate to function without interference from the window panel, but does not support the use of roof rails with crossbars. This is a dealer installed option and is shipped separately from the Bronco.
Mesh Shade Top
Offered on all Bronco trims, the Mesh Shade Top costs $360 and allows passengers to enjoy an open feel without sacrificing protection from sunlight. It’s designed to work with the factory hard top and available soft top, and uses a hook-and-loop fastener system, meaning it does not require hardware to install. It is a dealer installed option and shipped separately from the vehicle.
Soft Canvas Bimini Top
The Soft Canvas Bimini Top is available on the 2024 Ford Bronco Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Heritage, and Heritage Limited trims. It’s priced at $400 and is a dealer-installed option. It’s not available with the Black cloth soft top, and is included as standard on all Bronco models featuring the Hard Top Prep Kit.
Front Row Retractable Twill Soft Top
The Front Row Retractable Twill Soft Top only allows the Bronco’s roof to open above the front row, as its name implies. It replaces the overhead hard top panels with a soft top that is simple to open and close. Priced at $1,500, this top is offered on all Bronco trims as a dealer-installed option.
Carbonized Gray MIC Hard Top
Standard on all two-door models, Raptor models, and offered as a $2,840 option on all four-door models, the Carbonized Gray MIC Hard Top includes a rear window defroster and washer and is fully removable. Note that this is not available on Heritage or Heritage Limited models.
Dual Top Carbonized Gray MIC Hard Top + Black Soft Top
Offered on the Bronco Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades, the $2,840 Dual Top set includes both the Carbonized Gray MIC Hard Top and Black Soft Top. Note that this is only available on four-door models and cannot be equipped in conjunction with the slide-out tailgate on the Everglades trim.
MIC Hard Top
Offered as a $1,695 option on the Bronco Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak and standard on Everglades. This option is only available for four-door models.
Shadow Black Painted Hard Top
The Shadow Black Painted Hard Top is offered as a $2,495 option on Bronco Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Raptor models. As the name implies, this is a black hard top painted in Shadow Black to contrast with the vehicle’s body color.
Body Color Painted Hard Top
Available exclusively on the range-topping 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor, the Body Color Painted Hard Top is painted to match the SUV’s body color. This option costs $600.
For comparison, until the factory hard tops became available, the only alternative was produced by Advanced Fiberglass Concepts. Its fiberglass top starts out at $5,250 for a one-piece and $5,750 for the modular top, which is quite a bit more than the factory options – although it does offer a few advantages over the Ford-built units.
