It wasn’t terribly long ago that one could purchase a nice F-Series pickup from the 1990s for reasonable money, but things have certainly changed as old models quickly skyrocketed in value. These days, finding a clean Ford pickup of any kind from the modern era for little money isn’t exactly an easy task, but there are still some decent deals to be found here and there. It’s unclear if this 1989 Ford F-250 will land on that list, but it’s certainly a solid target for anyone in the market for one, regardless.
This 1989 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it certainly fits the mold with just 37k miles showing on the odometer. It was previously acquired by the seller’s grandfather and later purchased by the seller in 2005, who proceeded to give it a solid tune up in anticipation for this latest sale. The regular cab, long bed pickup remains in solid condition, with only a single dent marring its two-tone Scarlet Red and white paint, too.
The matching Scarlet Red cloth interior is equally nice, if not chock full of amenities. That was par for the course in these days, however, and this Ford F-250 has goodies like air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM stereo, rubber floormats, and a heater, but nothing else. It’s powered by the naturally-aspirated 351 cubic-inch Ford Windsor V8, which was factory-rated to produce 210 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque – in this case, flowing to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
Of course, this is just the latest super clean, lower-mile Ford F-250 from the 1990s that we’ve stumbled across recently. That list includes nice examples like a 1995 model with just 21k miles, as well as a 1995 F-250 with just 8k original miles, to name just a couple.
