1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria With 32K Miles Up For Auction

As interest in more modern classics continues to grow, the Ford LTD Crown Victoria has slowly become more of a common sight at various online collector car auctions, too. This makes perfect sense given the fact that we’re talking about a squared-off, comfy, American four-door sedan, which is something that has largely gone the way of the dinosaur in recent years. Luckily, there are at least a few Ford LTD Crown Victoria models that were well taken care of and driven sparingly over the years, and that includes this 1990 model.

1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria With 32K Miles - Exterior 002 - Rear Three Quarters

This 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria LX is up for auction at Cars & Bids right now, and it has a mere 32,200 miles showing on the odometer. As a result, it’s in pretty fantastic condition, with nearly perfect Oxford White paint and a white Brougham half vinyl roof, with only a few scratches and some curb rash marring its exterior.

The same goes for the interior, which has some typical wear on the steering wheel, plus non-working front power windows, while the airbag light also blinks intermittently. Otherwise, this is a super-sanitary cabin finished in Currant Red with a cloth power front split bench seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. Power for the cushy sedan comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 160 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

This 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria also joins a pair of nice, similar offerings we’ve come across in recent months. That list consists of a 1998 model with just 29k miles on the clock, as well as a 1991 model with a startlingly low 10k miles.

  1. I owed a 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire and was much more spacious, comfortable and practical than any unpractical SUV. I also owed a 1981 Crown Victoria. Very good and comfortable car. From the times Ford still produced great cars.

  2. Back from the days when Ford actually had leadership. The Taurus/Sable/Continental were supposed to be Ford’s largest sedans when developed in the early 1980s. However, people still wanted the larger cars so- unlike today’s Ford management- management actually listened and refreshed the Crown Vic and Grand Marquis, and later redesigned them and the Town Car for a nice 20 year run.

  3. It’s amazing how much safer vehicles are today than when that car was built, and how much more energy-efficient they are, as well.
Consumers’ tastes have changed since 1990. I look forward to seeing what people want a vehicle to do for us in another 34 years.

  5. I’ve owned both a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis, as well as a 1995 Lincoln Towncar. The full size Ford produced sedans were incomparable to the competition, rode beautifully, drove easily, and were quiet and reliable. My Mercury was totaled in a collision while I sat waiting to make a turn. The entire family was in the car, and we all walked away from the crash with only minor injuries. The Lincoln was a cloud on wheels, and perhaps the smoothest car I’ve ever driven, I did sell it due to my aging orthopedic decline making it difficult to get into and out of. I did love both of these cars, and fully appreciate them.
