One of many first and second-generation Ford Explorer models we’ve seen surface for sale lately, this 1994 Explorer Sport went up for auction at Cars & Bids last December, where it promptly sold for $9,250. For a nicely kept example of this early SUV with 68k miles on the clock at the time, that seemed like a reasonable price tag, as well as a pretty solid score for the new owner. However, a mere seven months later, this same 1994 Ford Explorer Sport is once again up for sale.
This time around, the owner of this Ford Explorer has listed it on Bring a Trailer, though it’s unclear why they might be wanting to part ways with it after just a few months of ownership. It’s possible that perhaps they didn’t like it as much as they thought they might, or maybe, they’re just trying to make a quick buck. Regardless of the reason, those that missed out the first time now have a second chance to bring this Explorer home – though now, it has 69k miles on the clock.
Either way, this Ford Explorer remains in very nice condition with shiny Cayman Green Metallic paint and 15-inch alloy wheels, which show only the typical scratches/chips, some scuffs on the bumpers and discoloration of plastic trim, along with modifications including a three-inch lift, 31-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires, and a manual-locking front hub conversion. The same goes for the interior, which is in solid shape and finished in Mocha cloth upholstery, with an AM/FM radio with amenities such as a cassette player, power windows, locks, and mirrors, air conditioning, and cruise control.
Power for this particular Ford Explorer comes from the original, unmodified, naturally-aspirated 4.0L V6, which in this case is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and was factory-rated to produce 160 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see if something is willing to pony up more than $9,250 to bring it home this time around.

Nice 4X4, but if it’s now in NY now??? It’ll be a rest Bucket soon if no one POP’S for it!
Department of redundancy department.
This is one vehicle that I vastly prefer the 4 door version to the 2 door.
