The Ford F-150 SVT Lightning remains an incredibly popular vehicle these days, years after it was discontinued in favor of the off-road-focused F-150 Raptor. While some may wish FoMoCo had moved forward with its plans to produce a third-generation of the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, that doesn’t appear likely to happen soon, if ever, meaning that the values of used examples continue to rise. Now, this 2000 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning up for auction looks to become the next example to rake in solid money, too.
This 2000 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it’s yet another gently used example with just 40k miles showing on the odometer. One of just 4,966 built in that particular model year, the high-performance pickup is finished in Bright Red and only has one singular flaw to note on the exterior, in fact – a scrape on the bottom portion of the front bumper cover. Otherwise, it’s in great condition all around.
The same is true of the inside, where this SVT Lightning features Medium Graphite cloth and Ebony leather seats with SVT embroidery, paired with amenities that include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, an aftermarket subwoofer, and cruise control. Power comes from the supercharged 5.4L V8, which in this model was originally rated to send 360 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.55 gears.
Of course, this is just one of many nice Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickups that have surfaced for sale at various online collector car auctions as of late. Most recently, that list includes a 2k-mile 1999 model, another 1999 with 3k miles, and a 2002 with 4k miles.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authorityfor the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and continuous Ford news coverage.

Nice looking truck, but please don’t tell me ford used a 10r80 10 speed trans in it, If they did then it would be worth nothing as the trans might cost more to rebuild than the truck cost.
That unit sure didnt exist back then. Likely one of their 4AOD variants. One of their best, in my opinion, was the six speed they put in all their trucks until a couple of years ago. Love those transmissions. They have never let me down and make the most of the HP available in the 3V 5.4s.
