The last-generation Ford Thunderbird has quickly become a sought-after entity on the collector car market, which isn’t a massive surprise given its retro looks and rather famous nameplate. Over the years, we’ve seen a pretty large number of Ford Thunderbird models from this generation surface for sale at various online auctions, generally, with few miles on the clock and not too many flaws to note. Now, we can add this 2002 Ford Thunderbird to that list.
This 2002 Ford Thunderbird is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it has only 17k miles on the odometer, which is a rather low figure, indeed. It has changed hands quite a few times over the years, however, with six owners thus far, and the T-Bird has spent time in both Nebraska and Massachusetts. Regardless, it remains in stellar condition, with no noted flaws marring its Thunderbird Blue paint, too.
The same goes for the super-sanitary interior in this Ford Thunderbird, which features Thunderbird Blue and black leather power-adjustable seats, along with amenities including dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo with an in-dash CD changer. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 3.9-liter V8, which was originally rated to send 252 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, this is just the latest of many nice last-gen Ford Thunderbird models we’ve seen in recent months. Notably, back in April, we stumbled across a 2002 model with a mere 54 miles on the clock, in fact, and even the one-of-one 2002 Supercharged Thunderbird concept popped up at auction back in February, too.
