The Lincoln Aviator debuted for the 2003 model year, and just entered its second generation in the 2020 model year – with a refresh just coming along for 2025. That means the more luxurious counterpart of the Ford Explorer isn’t exactly what anyone would consider a classic vehicle – at least, not yet – and most also wouldn’t call the Lincoln Aviator a collectible item, either. However, this first-year Lincoln Aviator is now up for grabs at a collector car auction site, regardless.
That auction site is Bring a Trailer, where this 2003 Lincoln Aviator is set to be sold with just 14k miles showing on the odometer. It has remained in the possession of the original owner’s family since it was purchased new, and as one might imagine given its incredible low mileage total, sports flawless Silver Birch Pearl paint, along with all of its original trim on the exterior, plus the OEM wheels.
The Light Parchment leather interior remains in super sanitary condition as well, with loads of amenities including power-adjustable front seats, second row captain’s chairs, an analog clock, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear cabin air conditioning, cruise control, and an in-dash CD changer. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which was factory rated to produce 302 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
This is the first time we’ve seen an early, low-mile Lincoln Aviator hit the collector car auction block, but it isn’t the only product from the luxury brand that has gained favor in recent months. In fact, the Lincoln Navigator from this era is already a pretty popular entity in that regard, and we just saw a 57k-mile example from the 2005 model year sell for solid money just this past May, too.
