Over the past several months, we’ve seen a large number of nice, typically low-mile Ford Taurus models surface for sale at various collector car auctions across the web. This is notable given the fact that the Ford Taurus was discontinued years ago in the U.S. – though it’s still sold as a rebadged Mondeo in certain global markets – making it prime for a run in the collector car market, which is precisely what’s happening. The latest example of this phenomenon comes to us in the form of this very nice 2005 Ford Taurus SE wagon, too.
This 2005 Ford Taurus SE wagon is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and has just 25k miles on the clock after living with three owners over the course of its lifetime – including the selling dealer, which just acquired it earlier this year. As such, the Silver Frost Metallic beauty remains in stellar condition, though the rear bumper cover was repainted in 2006 following a minor fender bender.
Otherwise, there just aren’t too many flaws to note inside or out on this 2005 Ford Taurus. The interior is finished in Medium Dark Flint with cloth seats, a rear-facing third-row bench, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a factory CD stereo. Power comes from the 3.0L V6 Vulcan engine, factory rated to generate 153 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
This 2005 Ford Taurus wagon is certainly a gem of a find, but it has been preceded by several others in recent months. That list includes a 2004 SE sedan that sold for surprisingly little money, a 40k-mile 2004 wagon, a 200-mile 2005 SE sedan, and a 34k-mile 2005 SE wagon, to name just a few.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Taurus news and continuous Ford news coverage.
